Carers Salford Service

What I do

This service supports carers through one-to-one and group support sessions, benefits advice, carer’s assessments and further intervention if needed (such as informal advocacy). Helping you be seen and heard when it really matters is important.

We offer a package of support tailored to your needs as a carer. We want to make sure you know your statutory rights, what you’re entitled to, as well as having the right advice, support and coping mechanisms to look after your own wellbeing.

Who can access this service?

Anyone who is a carer of any age who lives in Salford. We can also support carers who live outside of Salford if their cared for person lives in Salford.

Survey – Salford Carers

Calling all Salford Unwaged Carers… Fill in this survey to be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher!

Your answers will help us understand:

  • Your experiences of being a carer in Salford.
  • How supported you feel by Health & Social Care services.

Survey responses will feed into refreshing the Salford All Age Carers Strategy.

Thank you to the amazing 19 Salford Carers who helped shape the survey, so it’s reflective of carers’ experiences; and to our Health & Social Care partners for their involvement.

I hate forms, I feel sure I'm going to do it wrong and so fail. My support worker filled in the application for me like it was an ordinary thing to do.

Having someone to speak to about my caring role who understands makes a huge difference to me.

Struggling to care for a child with special educational needs as well as balancing work and doing shopping for my mum is tough. Support from Gaddum has really helped me look at balancing everything I do. I know even get some time each week for me.
