DESCRIPTION:Put a spring in your step\, get some fresh air and meet other carers. Need a chat? We’re here for you too. \nTake your time. The walk has a short and long version to suit you. \nPublic transport costs and group taxi bookings will be reimbursed\, and that’s not all\, we’ll throw in lunch and refreshments too. \nThe walk will take place alongside Stepping Out with The Ramblers\, Bury Carers\, Manchester Carers Forum and Wigan & Leigh Carers Centre. \nPlaces are limited and booking is essential. You have the knowledge and experience to do this. \nChange is afoot. Join us for an initial session to find out what’s going on and to see if you’d like to get involved. You can be involved as much or as little as you like. \nTravel and time costs will be reimbursed\, and we’ll throw in a cuppa too. Come to this month’s Carers Focus Group online and let us know what activities YOU would like in Carers Week (5 – 11 June). \nMaybe it’s a fun trip out\, a bit of pampering and self care\, or the chance to learn about Carers’ Rights. By volunteering your time and having your say\, we will plan activities for Carers Week based on what you want. \nWe’ll also discuss how we can thank and celebrate our fantastic Carers Focus Group Volunteers (that’s you) during Volunteers’ Week (1 – 7 June) too. \nJoin us on Zoom\, from the comfort of your own home and let’s plan these national weeks together. \nYou’re welcome to stay online afterwards and chat with Carers and staff for half an hour too…it’s good to socialise. \nTo attend\, please email jemma.houghton@gaddum.org.uk or call 0161 834 6069 ext 4009. \n
