HomeAdvocacyWhat is advocacy?

What is advocacy?

Advocacy is taking action to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests, and obtain the services they need. Advocates work in partnership with the people they support and are independent from social services and the NHS.

Gaddum have trained and experienced advocates who give you a voice when you need to be heard.

All advocacy services are free and confidential.

What people say about my advocacy service

I would like to thank your IHCA for all the advice, help and support for over two years while my complaint went through to the Ombudsmen. This was incredibly stressful and deeply upsetting but the help I received really helped me get through this. I cannot praise your service enough for your help an

I just wanted to thank you for your support throughout this case. We are so happy that we have our family member near us and we may not have without your involvement.
