Advocacy for Inpatients

HomeAdvocacy for Inpatients with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism

We know that being an inpatient can be challenging and having an Advocate on your side can help you.

Across the UK people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism are more likely to spend longer in hospital.

At Gaddum we provide specialist advocacy for inpatients with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism in Park House at North Manchester General Hospital and Laureate House at Wythenshawe Hospital.

We aim to improve people’s experience and access to support that will ensure each individual voice is heard.

Gaddum also provide Peer Advocacy Training for Carers and Parent-Carers to help gain confidence and increase independence from our services when supporting each other.

For more information about how you or someone you know can access this service please contact our Learning Disabilities and Autism Advocate at advocacy@gaddum.org.uk.
